Defining A Friend

Webster's definition of a friend is: One who cherishes kind regard for another. An intimate and trustworthy companion.
When I look back over my life, I realize that I can count the good, loyal, trustworthy, long term friends I've had on both hands with some fingers left over! Boy, it is really hard to find a good friend in life. Most of mine have been people I've met in my career. I have two friends from school, three friends from my law enforcement career, and four friends from my military career that I stay in contact with. They know who they are and how much I value their friendship. What has happened to the rest??? I really don't know. They have went out and faded into life. We all get busy with our lives and lose track of each other I guess. When you have a true friendship that last through the years it is a real blessing! Be sure to stay in contact with your true friends just to see how they are doing. They will appreciate it! You never know about life, it is uncertain at best and your voice may be just what they need to hear.

Having friends is great, right now I have lots of friends but I only hope they last. I think calling them from time to time is a good idea. I will call some of them now!!!! I'm always on the phone with them anyway. lol lol Nice blog by the way. You need more pics...some of you that we can see maybe.

Friends are good for you all around. When you are down and lonley. You can have fun with them and I love it when they listen to you. You can also be there for them when they need you. It is good to have lifetime friends that you can count on and love. The world needs more friendlyness, if there is such a word. We are all connected, it's too bad that we don't recognize it! The best things in life really are free!!!

Friends need to be forever. It is a real shame that some friendships don't last.

I knew it was you. I am glad we are back in contact. I got your email yesterday and sent you a response. I got a chance to read the remaining parts of your blog today. I can see you still like the dogs. Do you still train them? Still write good too. Those were special times back then. The articles are good, I am a fan.
