Gone But Not Forgotten

Brett Farve, the great quarterback of the Green Bay Packers is hanging up his helmet and shoes; for good this time, I think! The Packers will not be the same after this, at least not for me. When I think of Brett, I am reminded of all those 4th quarter come backs with less than 2 minutes left on the clock and the Packers behind by a field goal or touchdown....they would just put the football in his hands and somehow everyone knew what was going to happen. He also reminds me of all the back yard football games I played as a young teenager with my friends and family....we would have so much fun out there at West End, Fords Woods, or just actually in someone's back yard engaging in a quick pick up game. These memories do not come back to me when I think of some other NFL quarterbacks.....just Brett. Somehow he just seems to stand for all the amateur athletes out there struggling to make to the big time....that good ole boy from Mississippi with all that talent. I will truly miss him as a player on the field. So....here's to you Brett, may you ease into your retirement with all the glory and honor that you deserve, may you see many sunsets and have even more great effects on people's lives, for you will miss the game that has given you so much and we will all miss you! Best wishes on your retirement...

He sure is a great player. You have to hand it to him, he has been hanging in there for quite sometime.

I can tell you this, my wife was not interested in football until Brett Farve started playing the game. I think there is more to that than meets the eye. lol

I have always thought he was a very sexy older man, walley. I really like older men better, they are more romantic, sexier, and have more money than the men my age!!! lol
