Apologize: I Had Nothing To Do With It!
Many of the States have started a trend to apologize for slavery in the past year. There has not been a slave of any kind in the United States in over 142 years! No one in my family history dating back to the early 1700's, when they came to this country, has ever owned a slave. My family was too poor and were indeed sharecroppers themselves until the early 1840's or so. I have the proof...so I only have one question...What should my family apologize for??? Slavery was wrong, but my family simply had nothing to do with it!!! As a matter of the facts...your family probably didn't have anything to do with it either, unless you are a descendant of the wealthiest and most powerful people in the United States from 1620-1865! Don't look surprised...this information is correct...you can do the research as I have. By 1860 only 15 states still had legal ownership of slaves. The slave population in America at that time was around 4 million and all of those slaves were owned by 8% of American Families....Yes, that would be the upper wealthy and elite 8% of the Nation. That would mean 92% of the Nation's Families during that period of history did not own a slave. I hate to be the one to break this news....but....the slaves were made up of different kinds of people....they were Africans, English, Native Americans, Spanish, Central Americans, Chinese, and Irish. The majority however were Africans. Only a small percentage of African Americans today are direct descendants of slaves, and none that I know of today are in slavery. According to my research the apology should be coming from the rich and powerful descendants of that elite 8% of long ago...indeed the very families of the blue bloods that made their wealth on the backs of the slaves and poor people of our Country. In that case My Family is due an apology also!!! There have been slaves all down through history dating back to the Ancient Egyptians....where are those apologies??? My God, Hitler and Nazi Germany almost wiped out the entire Jewish Population and that was the Country as a whole not just the wealthiest 8%; and I don't hear any apologies from the German Parliament today for it! I think slavery of any kind is wrong and I would stand up against it...but don't ask me to apologize for something that my descendants had absolutely nothing to do with.

This issue with the people pushing this slavery-apology-reparations bullshit is as simple as people wanting something for nothing. You know looking for a hand-out and not a hand-up! Take charge of your lives out there and work to support your children and families! The government has give and give to you people and they don't need to give anything else! This may sound angry, well, hell I guess I am angry, the thought of my tax money going to something like this is almost too much to bare!!!
In my opinion it ranks the same as giving illegal aliens social security & welfare. This is meant for American citizens who are in need, or who have worked all their lives for it-not people in our country illegally! A reparation payment would be the same thing. If they do something like this in the future, I will stop paying taxes, grow out my hair, get a Harley, and hit the road. Easy Rider baby! It worked for Fonda and Hopper, it will work for me!
